It's not often the red carpet is rolled out for us, but last night we celebrated our 26 Berkshire Lowland Search & Rescue colleagues who were presented with the King's Coronation Medal.

BLSAR members have been awarded the Coronation Medal along with other front-line emergency service personnel who had completed five years service on the day of the coronation. We are extremely grateful to Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service for hosting the event and to Deputy Chief Fire Officer Mr Mark Arkwell for presenting the medals to the recipients.

This is a fitting reward for the Team, the members and their families for all the time and hard work they have put in searching for high risk vulnerable missing people.
