BLSAR are delighted to have secured an area of restored healthland on the Englefield Estate for training.
Our Drone Lead, Martin Walsh said "The terrain offers an ideal mixture of water, heath, shrub and mature trees in a quiet location that allows for pilot and spotter training and search exercises".
Chairman, Chris Curry negotiated the access with Forestry Manager, Richard Edwards who said "We are pleased to once again allow access to Bekshire Lowland Search and Rescue to a part of the Estate for training in our role as supporter of the local community".
The Englefield Estate manages 14,000 acres of mainly rural land and property in West Berkshire and Hampshire, between Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke.
